NarrativeTook basic training in Fort Knox Ky. (E-12-3), attended Teletype training (72B20) at Fort Gordon, Georgia then shipped to Mannheim Germany to the 22nd Signal Group. Served in several locations including a communication center on top of a mountain (Kerningstoul)" spelling". Was levied for Vietnam in 1967 and served primarily in Saigon until medivacd to Clark AFB hospital in December 1969. Was transferred to the Okinawa hospital and released in late March 1969 I believe and then shipped to Oakland California for discharge. |
